Pronto Software, an Australian developer of enterprise software solutions, today announced an Alliance Partnership agreement with Avalara, a US provider of Web-based sales tax automation solutions for businesses of all sizes.

The agreement will enable Pronto Software customers to manage end-to-end sales tax calculation, compliance, and exemption certificate management through integration with Avalara's AvaTaxTM service.

"Our clients will now have lightning speed, fully accurate tax calculations at their fingertips," commented David Jackman, Managing Director of Pronto Software. "The process is fully automated, which will drive greater efficiencies throughout their operations."

With more than 1,200 customers in 27 countries, Pronto Software recently ramped up its North American operations with the signing of several new value-added resellers in the US and Canada. The move was a key initiative in the company's international growth strategy and its latest agreement with Avalara further expands its North American offering, leveraging the Avalara technology through its new solutions, Pronto Xi Tax Sales and Pronto Xi Managed Returns. The products will be released in February 2010 in the US and Canadian markets.
